Board and Train | Lasting Results for Harrisburg Area Dogs
Program details
Training your dog while learning techniques yourself can feel overwhelming. That’s why our board and train program takes the pressure off by having your dog live and train in the comfort of the trainer’s home. Unlike commercial dog training facilities, our home-based setting eliminates the stress of excessive noise, crowded spaces, and unfamiliar environments. Your dog will benefit from a calm atmosphere, allowing them to focus and learn effectively while reducing the risks associated with crowded boarding facilities.
During their stay, your dog will master the skills needed to become a well-behaved companion. To ensure lasting success, we provide personalized lessons to help you maintain their progress at home. It's the ideal balance of professional training and comfort for your dog. For a dog to be eligible for a board and train program, dogs must be at least 6 months of age and up-to-date on their vaccinations within 3 years (1 year for rabies).
Our board and train program includes:
Customized training focused on obedience or behavior modification, depending on your dog’s specific needs
Immersive 4-8 week "live and train" experience at the trainer’s home
Two go-home lessons to ensure a smooth transition and continued success
Three personalized training sessions with the trainer each day

Sit, down, place, heel, and recall (on-leash)
Duration work with distractions (especially “place” and crate)
Introduction to e-collar conditioning for off-leash transitions
Reduction of mild fear or leash reactivity (no aggression)
Engagement and emotional regulation in stimulating environments
Ideal for: mildly reactive or anxious dogs, owners seeking reliable leash control and a calmer household
2-Week Foundation Reset
$2,200
A solid jumpstart for young or unstructured dogs.
This program lays the groundwork for reliable on-leash obedience and respectful behavior in the home and in public. Your dog will stay in a structured environment and work through:
Introduction to leash pressure and basic commands
Loose-leash walking and engagement
Crate routines, impulse control, and calm handling
Basic manners (e.g., door thresholds, polite greetings)
Perfect for dogs who need a focused reset, or young dogs just starting their training journey.
Ideal for: dogs with little to no prior training, owners who want to establish structure and leash control quickly
6-Week Clarity & Control Program
$5,400
For dogs that need structure, control, and emotional stability.
This intensive program covers complete on- and off-leash obedience while addressing moderate to severe behavioral issues such as anxiety, fear, and reactivity. Your dog will gain not only clarity in commands but the emotional regulation needed to handle stressors in daily life.
Includes:
Advanced obedience (on- and off-leash, where appropriate)
Confidence-building exercises and public training outings
Addressing excessive barking, reactivity, hypervigilance, and on-leash outbursts
Repetition-based behavior change protocols for long-standing habits
Ideal for: dogs with ingrained behavior patterns that haven’t improved through standard training, or owners who want full off-leash control and a calm, responsive companion
Note: This program does not cover human- or dog-directed aggression or severe bite history cases.
