I started training dogs in college after adopting my first husky, Mason. Like many husky owners, I quickly learned why these intelligent but challenging dogs are often surrendered. Mason would pull me around, destroy my apartment, and frequently get into fights with other dogs. Despite being told that huskies "couldn't be trained," I refused to give up. I turned to the internet for help, struggling to filter reliable advice. Fortunately, I found mentors who guided me in transforming Mason into a well-mannered, happy companion. This experience not only strengthened my bond with Mason but also inspired me to help other dog owners facing similar challenges. That’s why I founded Hard Nose K9 Services.

At Hard Nose K9, I use a results-driven, science-based approach to dog training, built on proven methods that prioritize results over excuses. As I aspire to become one of the top Harrisburg dog trainers, my goal is to create customized training plans that meet the unique needs of each client. My formal background in psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis allows me to apply operant and classical conditioning principles, focusing on marker training, socialization, and building strong relationships between dogs and their handlers.
